There are a number of Fresh Start Academies located around the South East, full contact details of which are below:
Kent
Hosted by Hadlow College, one of the South East's leading land-based institutions, the Kent Fresh Start Academy was the first in England to hold its Awards Ceremony in 2008.
Sussex
Hosted by Brinsbury and Plumpton College this was the UK's first Academy. Launched in 2006 the meetings are held at three locations in East and West Sussex.
Hampshire
Hosted by Sparsholt College, the Hampshire Academy has created a number of opportunities with seven members starting new businesses (ranging from organic fruit and vegetable production to direct marketing of meat and poultry production). Several members have also moved into management positions.
The Trainers
Co-ordinated in the South East by the Laurence Gould Partnership, they have been providing strategic, financial and technical advice to governments, farmers, landowners and those involved in processing and marketing within the rural sector for over 40 years. Laurence Gould's fully trained consultants offer one-off business appraisals, ongoing farm management advice, technical advice and marketing support to all sectors of agriculture, horticulture and food industries.
